Sometimes, Mollybird sees things that I don’t! 🙂

A bit about myself…

Truth be told, there’s so much to this journey that lead me to where I’m at, but here’s a couple highlights with a lot of missing pieces!

I’ve lived in California, US most of my life, and now reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.  I’m a ‘very unusual’ Sagittarius, as an astrologer once told me… but this was after the Universe gave me a swift-kick in the ass which destroyed all the bullshit that I’ve built-up around myself.  Yes, I once was a very stereotypical Sag..  🙂

Why I use Tarot to help others make confident decisions..

I do this because I had finally learned to let go of fear, to allow my soul, spirit helpers, and God guide me. Tarot was a muse at first, until a group of twentysomethings saw me studying my cards at a local brew-pub.  Of course, they all wanted readings.  Trouble was, I’ve never done one, but at that juncture, I just dove in and….. pulled a single card each for three of my onlookers.   They were amazed, and I completely freaked myself out.  At that point, I knew that I could really help others with this craft.

What IS Tarot anyway?

Ummmm…  Well how much time do you have?  Really, there’s SO much to the story of how Tarot evolved into the type of card-deck it is now.  To top it off, there’s a bit of debate as to the specific origins as well.

Modern Tarot decks usually contain 78 cards and are commonly used for ‘divination’ purposes.   Divination is the term I (and most trustworthy readers) prefer rather than ‘fortune telling’.  Why?  the two biggest reasons are because…   ‘Fortune telling’ seems to conjure thoughts of being entertained by ladies in ‘gypsy’ costumes.  Trust me, you don’t want to see me in a gypsy costume.

‘Fortune telling’ is also a term that usually makes me think that the future is set in stone, where your fate is something to simply accept.  Most modern Tarot readers, myself included, feel that the future can be very elastic, and everyone has a great deal of free will in their lives.  With this model, Tarot has its power in providing information about aspects that surround you, so you then have the ability to make the best decisions and potentially avoid some nasty pitfalls.
